Estonian Experience is focused on offering you an inspirational time during you stay in Estonia. Our tours, activities and adventures have been specially designed for individual travellers and small private groups.
Estonian Experience was started in 2008 by Eva-Maria Egipt-Peenmaa. She had worked in tourism industry for many years before that. Already from age 15, she worked for five summer seasons as an assistant in cruise port by organizing travellers into buses and collecting their tour tickets. After that she handled hotel bookings in English and German languges in Hilton Reservations Worldwide call center.
Between 2003 and 2008, Eva-Maria continued her career in tourism as project manager in one of the leading event management companies in Estonia – Broadline OÜ. At that time she organized conferences and incentive events for large international groups ranging from 25 to 500 people.
However, it happened that many conferences and foreign events were cancelled in 2008 due to the economical crises. While staying home with her first child, Eva-Maria found that lots of very innovative offerings were available only for large groups, but selection of tours for individual travellers and small private groups was very limited in Estonia. From that she got the idea for Estonian Experience – to make the most interesting experiences in Estonia also available for very small groups.
Estonian Experience is providing only private tours, meaning that we do not combine other travellers into your group. We are also not providing event management services, but our tours are quite often requested as a part of a larger program.
Another decision we made at the beginning was to focus our energy only on delivering high quality excursion and activity packages while recommending airplane, ferry and bus tickets, hotels and car rentals to be bought directly through online systems like www.booking.com. As an individual traveller or a member of a small group, you will get much better value this way. Please note though that transfers and lunch & dinner packages are part of our services.
Most of our tours are still booked for the same or next day by individual travellers who have come to Tallinn just for a short break and want to get the maximum value of their time. However, we are also happy to welcome an increasing amount of travellers from cruise ships and groups from Estonian companies.
Since 2012, we are also offering private excursion packages in other capitals around Baltic sea including Helsinki, Stockholm, Copenhagen and St Petersburg.
All our tours are available in English, Estonian and Russian. Selected tours are also available in many other languages including German, Spanish, French, Italian, Finnish, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian and Chinese.
Many people helped us to launch and grow this company. Major help in setting up the initial tour packages came from Pille Oja.
