The 28th Tallinn International Organ Festival starts today and runs through August 10th. The opening ceremony inside St. Mary’s Cathedral includes performances from August Topman, Artur Kapp and Marcel Dupré, and features Hugo Lepnurm.
The artistic director of the Tallinn International Organ Festival is Andres Uibo and he has created one of the most prominent organ festivals the world over.
The Tallinn International Organ Festival is one of the oldest music festivals in the city and includes 45 concerts with old organs brought from all around Estonia.
This year is a special year as it is the 100th anniversary of Estonian organ music and 100 years since the construction of the famous organs in St John’s Church and Dome Church.
