It’s time for Christmas shopping!
Christmas is the most loved celebration for adults and children alike around the world. Event-thought the first snow has fallen, the real Christmas season in Tallinn starts in this year on 18 November, when the small stalls of the enchanting Christmas Market open their doors on Town Hall Square.
In addition to the traditional Christmas Market, many locals are well familiar with the International Christmas Bazaar held on November 20, where various foreign embassies sell national souvenirs and sweets with all proceeds going to charity. The Tallinn Handicraft Fair will also be organised during the Christmas period this year. It is held on the premises of the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds and visitors can buy handicrafts, jewelry, home furnishings and Estonian food. In the Christmas Village at Rocca al Mare Open Air Museum at the other end of the city, visitors can take part in Christmas activities from over 100 years ago.
